Ironman Florida and what's next.

Congratulations to Neil Rome with a PR 10:36:58 yesterday in Panama City Beach.  It was a great day of racing and the completion of a long year for Neil.  He was totally dedicated to his diet and training coming off of a tough hot dissappointing day at Ironman Arizona last April and roller coaster of a season after that and a tough off season and start to this year.  He got it going lost 40 lbs and overcame some adversity yesterday to really lay down a great race.  4D Racing is very happy for him and proud of his dedication.  We are looking forward to racing IMCDA next June and setting another PR.

Next up for this weekend is the Foster Grant Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater.  4D Racing will be represented by two athletes on different ends of the spectrum.  Sean Schnur will be looking to go real fast an put in a solid Race for the first time this year as he was happered by a stress fracture suffered a couple weeks before his season opener in New Orleans then passed on the Boston Marathon and Vineman to let the leg heal.  His race at Redman was his first long run so now he is primed and ready to see how he stacks up against some world class age groupers and the pros.  His run is looking like it is back and his bike speed is up after spending the summer on the LAMBRA road racing circuit.

As much excitement that we have for SS, we are also very excited for Chad Soileau aka Team 464 as he sets out to share his story with the Tri world as a featured media athlete.  Chads story will air on the NBC coverage of the race, he is also hoping to PR but I think he is most excited because he will get stamped body marking instead of sharpie.  Just kidding Chad.  Its Race Week again.  Also I get to go back to Florida and see alot of my friends from all over.  Really excited to see Philippe and Coach Erika Lilley, gonna also be traveling with Brian "Kona" LeJeune and his old school ALUMINUM P3.

4D will be there in numbers.  This is the first Triathlon of the year and it will test everyone.

This weeks News and Notes

Another great weekend of racing has come and gone,  The Baton Rouge Triathlon Club won another state championship at the MeatPie Tri here in Louisiana.  4D Racing had several top finishers in the event.  Eryn Schilling was the top female and Susan Hayden was 3rd overall.  We also had Dr. Kyle Schwab win his age group 35-39.  I would like to congratulate all of our racers on a great end to their triathlon season.

Over in Agusta, Ga Robert Peltier had a personal best at the 70.3 distance with a solid improvement since our training camp over in Tyler, Tx.  Now the build up to races at Longhorn 70.3, Ironman Fl, and Clearwater World Championship 70.3 are our focus until marathon season kicks into full gear.
