November 8 2009 - 19:45:10 CST Ironman Florida and what's next.
Congratulations to Neil Rome with a PR 10:36:58 yesterday in Panama City Beach. It was a great day of racing and the completion of a long year for Neil. He was totally dedicated to his diet and training coming off of a tough hot dissappointing day at Ironman Arizona last April and roller coaster of a season after that and a tough off season and start to this year. He got it going lost 40 lbs and overcame some adversity yesterday to really lay down a great race. 4D Racing is very happy for him and proud of his dedication. We are looking forward to racing IMCDA next June and setting another PR.
Next up for this weekend is the Foster Grant Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater. 4D Racing will be represented by two athletes on different ends of the spectrum. Sean Schnur will be looking to go real fast an put in a solid Race for the first time this year as he was happered by a stress fracture suffered a couple weeks before his season opener in New Orleans then passed on the Boston Marathon and Vineman to let the leg heal. His race at Redman was his first long run so now he is primed and ready to see how he stacks up against some world class age groupers and the pros. His run is looking like it is back and his bike speed is up after spending the summer on the LAMBRA road racing circuit.
As much excitement that we have for SS, we are also very excited for Chad Soileau aka Team 464 as he sets out to share his story with the Tri world as a featured media athlete. Chads story will air on the NBC coverage of the race, he is also hoping to PR but I think he is most excited because he will get stamped body marking instead of sharpie. Just kidding Chad. Its Race Week again. Also I get to go back to Florida and see alot of my friends from all over. Really excited to see Philippe and Coach Erika Lilley, gonna also be traveling with Brian "Kona" LeJeune and his old school ALUMINUM P3.

This is one of my favorite races of all time. You have to do it to understand. It is crazy hard and crazy fun. Check out the link http://www.holytoledotri.com/
4D will be there in numbers. This is the first Triathlon of the year and it will test everyone. September 29 2009 - 14:06:18 CST This weeks News and Notes
Another great weekend of racing has come and gone, The Baton Rouge Triathlon Club won another state championship at the MeatPie Tri here in Louisiana. 4D Racing had several top finishers in the event. Eryn Schilling was the top female and Susan Hayden was 3rd overall. We also had Dr. Kyle Schwab win his age group 35-39. I would like to congratulate all of our racers on a great end to their triathlon season.
Over in Agusta, Ga Robert Peltier had a personal best at the 70.3 distance with a solid improvement since our training camp over in Tyler, Tx. Now the build up to races at Longhorn 70.3, Ironman Fl, and Clearwater World Championship 70.3 are our focus until marathon season kicks into full gear. Congratulations to Sean Schnur 6th over all with a PR, Congrats to Scott Morgan also with a big PR, and also to Chad Soileau with his PR finish. The race was contested in horrible conditions as the rain was so bad it forced sections of the bike course to be walking zones. This was SS's first triathlon since recovering from a stress fracture in his leg, We are now looking forward to the build up to Clearwater for both he and Chad. September 15 2009 - 16:03:24 CST LAMBRA Road Racing Championships
This past Saturday was the Louisiana and Mississippi Bike Racing Association Road Racing championship held in Natchez Ms. There were several of the Raising Canes 4D racing and we were looking to have a strong showing with the numbers we had as well as the firepower from the Sweedish Speedish Brad Aherns and SS. Sean was wanting to go out with a bang for his last bike race of the year after claiming the points title by a land slide. Brad has been on fire lately and we were welcoming Sam Leblanc aka HoodRat back to the peloton after his extended summer internship in DC. All this set up for a great day of racing as long as the weather stayed clear. As it turned out Mother Nature smilled on us and there was no rain. The race was an 8 lap 42 mile bundle of hurt with one big hill and one little bump that was the thorn in everyone's side. Things got off to a great start and really started shaking on the 3rd lap. As it turned out an 8 man breakaway form and held til the end. with 600 meters to go things did however not go as planned that little hill got me SS got run off the road in the turn and we couldnt get the train together. Brad got 2nd, SS 4th and I finished 8th, HoodRat came in a couple minutes later in 9th giving him his second top 10 finish this season. All around a good day as we all came home in one piece Sean Schnur is the Points champ and now back into full triathlon mode. One more critt for HoodRat and I in a couple weeks then our season is over.
Other Things going on this past week, the Hypoxico Altitude training equipment has arrived and is up and running. There is another cycling study being conducted at LSU which I will be taking part in so look for more information on that in the future. As far as the last Study with Gatorade we are still waiting on the published article but inside sources tell me that it should be real interesting as it seems the different areas of the country got different results on the drinks used as to how it relates to the athletes normal diet.
Would also like to congratulate Neil "Team" Rome for his 3rd age group 9th overall finish at the Prairieman Triathlon in Dallas on Sunday. September 11 2009 - 22:12:19 CST Where I've been, whats been happening
There has been a lot happening since my last blog post. Many of you may have wondered what happened to the weekly updates and all the good info that I promised. Well, progress is my excuse. There have been several changes to the website and other comings and goings. Our biggest addition is the new log in feature that has all of your workouts and I am developing an exercise library with picture and video features. This is made possible by www.workoutlog.com. There will be much more in the coaches corner now that that major change has taken place. I am committed to making this a great resource full of useful information. If you have a question or if you want to discuss an interesting topic please email it to me: info@4thdimensionfitness.net . I am also loaded up with other neat features to entertain, edjucate or enlighten you with. So be on the look out for some editorials as well.
I spent a few days over in Tyler Texas with John Cobb (www.cobbcycling.com) going over some bike fit and doing some lactate testing. If you have any saddle issues check out the Cobb saddles, I'm riding the Vflow plus. John his friend Robert and I also got in some solid training. Let me just tell you how good John Cobb is, for starters he fixed my bike position in no time, but then again thats what I expected from a guy with an autographed yellow jersey that says " John, you are the man! Thanks for making me fast!" Lance Armstrong. He also designs some really awesome equipment so make sure you check out his blog http://Johncobbresearch.wordpress.com
Until next time. carpe diem July 13 2009 - 17:16:15 CST Vuelta De Acadiana
Would first like to thank the guys that raced this weekend and also the Precision Bikes Racing Team for putting on the event over in Lafayette.
Raising Canes - 4D had another great showing in the Cat 5 ranks as the urban legand now reads. Congrats to Sean Schnur for winning the GC and placing 2nd in all events. It was also a strong performance by the team with our guys coming in 4,5,10, and 11th.
The really bad news for the weekend which over shadows the success of the team is that Mark Miller, our friend even if he's not on our team, went down very hard in a crash and has spent a few days in the hospital. Please wish him well as he will have a long recovery from his abrupt stop against the ground.
One thing about riding and racing with a group, you can be doing everything correct and still be crashed by someone else. It so happens that the same guy who caused this crash has also caused me to crash this season.
I will keep you posted on Marks recovery, and we will even feature the return of the Man as he begins to heal up and train for Ironman Utah.
Quote of the Day "What doesn't Kill you, makes you Stronger!"
Get well soon my friend. July 7 2009 - 12:59:36 CST And so it begins...
This is my first blog post. It seems that I have a good deal to live up to as some of my friends and clients are quite the bloggers. I first want to say hello and welcome to the 4D website, and also give you a brief overview of what to expect from the coaches corner. I will be updating this often, keeping up with race results, the latest in gear and training tips, I will also be featuring articles and ask the expert section with regards to many areas of health and fitness. Not everything will have to do with running cycling and swimming but it is all about health and fitness.
I will also throw in some news and such about what I am doing personally and the how my affiliates and teams are doing as well.
As all ways I want to remind everyone to check out Team464.com and also Precisionbikes.com for all sorts of great information.
In addition to the business we will also find somthing fun to talk about and I will try and post reader mail and feed back from time to time.
Thanks again for your support and please let me know what you think.
